The newly renovated reading room provides a welcome atmosphere for research. The donor reception area, enjoyed here by members of the Special Collections staff, will be used for library meetings and special events.

Library friends and donors came to campus to celebrate the renovation of the reading room in the Sanoian Special Collections Library on the fourth floor of the Madden Library. The Sanoian Special Collections Library houses rare and unique materials in addition to the university archives. The reading room has new cherrywood research tables, chairs, bookcases and lockers. The room includes a new donor reception area with wing-back chairs and decorative touches like pictures of library donors and special paintings.

The reading room is open to the public and university community for research from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, during regular semesters. The current exhibit in the reading room is "Glimpses of the Sanoian Special Collection Library" and features a small sampling of rare books and manuscript materials available for research.
