As a means to recognize outstanding and talented faculty, the
Provost's Awards for Excellence in Teaching were first presented
during the 1993-94 academic year. Given in five categories, the
awards are considered the university's highest faculty honors.
Albert McLeod (above) earned the overall Excellence in Teaching
Award for 1999.
