At the 4th Annual Joyce M. Huggins Center Round-up for children and student families held on campus April 23, guests enjoyed a petting farm, pony rides, games and food.
Clockwise from bottom: Stephanie Lopez, 9, gets into the action; Becky Sano, 5, pets a silky duck; and Fidel Chavez and Leslie Chavez, 2, enjoy bubble making.
The benefit for the Early Education Center featured Oklin Bloodworth, children's songwriter and musician, and the children's dance group Los Niños. The event was sponsored by the center's parents and staff with contributions from local businesses and campus programs like Athletics, Kennel Bookstore and Council Travel.
The Huggins Center is a training, demonstration and research
center in early childhood education. It provides subsidized early
education and child care services to more than 145 student families.
