A hop, skip, and parade

The frogs were tossed and no joy was lost during Homecoming
1999. A week of spirit games helped set the pace for the Oct.
2 game in which the Bulldogs flattened the Horned Frogs from Texas
Christian University 26-19 in overtime. In the days leading up
to the win, Bulldog enthusiasts enjoyed a pie eating/marshmallow
eating contest, a Bulldog barking contest, an obstacle course,
and, of course, a frog toss. The Homecoming Parade (complete with
pied horse sporting a rumpish pawprint) and a well-attended Alumni
Tailgate furthered the competitive spirit. In the final analysis,
Red Wavers went home savoring victory over a respected WAC rival.
