Loyal Bulldog fans now have a new option for postgame basketball coverage, with the start of a new postgame sports talk show, "Full Court Press Live."
Produced and run by students at Fresno State, the new show airs immediately following each men's home basketball game on Fresno State's own radio station, KFSR FM (90.7).
"We hope 'Full Court Press Live' will not only be a great experience for our staff, but also will fill the need for a different type of postgame sports talk show," said Joe Moore, station manager.
The new show will feature recaps of game statistics and analysis, head coach Jerry Tarkanian's live postgame press conference and interviews with players and fans from Selland Arena, as well as from call-in guests.
"We also plan to showcase special guests from opposing schools, campus radio stations and newspapers," Moore said. "By involving fans and students more directly in the show, we hope to create a product that's more interesting than what you'll find on commercial radio."
Hosted by Jeff Esajian, KFSR sports director, the new post- game show isn't the first sports talk show on KFSR. "We've had various sports talk programs for about four years now, ever since a grant enabled us to install a new system," Moore said.
Listeners can tune in to KFSR's sports talk show "Full Blast Sports," which airs every Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Topics include a complete range of professional and college sports as well as fantasy leagues.
According to station manager Joe Moore, this new show is just the first of many new projects at the station.
KFSR, an entirely student-run, non-commercial radio station,
has been on the air for more than 17 years.
