SPLISH! SPLASH!

The lazy days of summer

In the heat of July, the lawn sprinkler looked too good to pass up for these preschool children, who were taking a stroll through campus to look for rocks to study in the classroom. The children are from the Joyce Huggins Early Education Center on campus, and were accompanied by their teachers (left to right in the photo at right), Enrique Bedolla, Mary Setyone and Patricia Aguilar. The university's fabled water fountain offered another cooling off opportunity for the three-to-five year olds. It seems that, in the 100-degree-plus heat, water was more attractive than rocks.
