Dr. Candice Skrapec (Criminology), was beamed worldwide by CNN on Dec. 19 for a story on possible disguises terrorist Osama bin Laden could use based on renditions generated by the IQ Biometrix California, Inc. FACES software.

Skrapec appeared live on CNN's "Mornings with Paula Zahn" and on CNN International later that morning. This month, she is featured in Nacional - Croatia's leading independently owned weekly newsmagazine with a 60,000+ circulation. Distributed throughout Croatia and several European countries, see its Web site at www.nacional.hr.

Dr. Skrapec has worked closely with IQ Biometrix in developing the FACES software for the identification of crime suspects and missing persons. The software was first demonstrated on campus last year and is endorsed by America's Most Wanted television show.
