
The spring 2002 series of Philosophy colloquia will begin Feb. 19 with "Some Sorites Arguments Are Sound: A Dialetheic Approach to Vagueness." Professor J.C. Beall of the Department of Philosophy, University of Connecticut, Storrs, will present the colloquium at University Center from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
"Why Scientific Laws and Empirically-Applied Mathematical Doctrine must be taken by us to be True" will be presented by Professor Jody Azzouni of the Department of Philosophy at Tufts University. This presentation will be Tuesday, March 5 at UC 202 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The final presentation in the series will be Tuesday, March
15, when Professor Ingrid Rosa Kitzberger of the Jesuit School
of Theology at Berkeley will present "Transcending Gender
Boundaries in John" from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in UC 202.
