Nothing stands still in the world of the Web and Internet.
Take a moment to look back over the past two years. I think you'll see we've made significant progress in enhancing the look and value of the university's Web presence. We are demonstrating how the work of many can be interconnected into a dynamic and rich information tool.
I applaud all of you for what's been accomplished and for your continuing creativity and energy in exploring the potential of our Web.
Faculty/staff training The Web Academy will be June 4, 5, 6. This is a three-day comprehensive introduction to creating a Web site. You'll learn how to conceptualize, organize, author and manage your Web site project. University policies, design do's and don'ts and preparing graphics also are covered. Register at training.csufresno.edu.
Student Employee Training The Fresno State Web Designer workshop will be May 29 and 30. This two-day session provides student employees with the knowledge and basic skills to create department Web pages following university policy. This workshop draws from the Web Academy to provide a solid foundation in Web site creation.
Campus Portal The My Fresno State portal is currently under development. The portal will provide the Web interface to PeopleSoft student administration and human resources services. To introduce the campus community to the portal and get input on its evolution, presentation/demonstrations are being provided to interested groups. Contact Tiffanne at 8-8595 to schedule a presentation.
