Three new development directors have joined the Fresno State
staff to coordinate fund-raising for academic units.
John F. Houseman is the director for the College of Science and
Mathematics. Formerly with Winners on Wheels Foundation in Fresno,
Houseman has more than eight years of executive-level experience
in the public and nonprofit sectors. He also has worked for the
city of Portland and the Discovery Center in Fresno.
He holds a B.A. from Fresno State and an M.A. from Portland State
University. An Air Force veteran, he is married and has three
children.
Jeanette T. Ishii of Fresno is the new director of development
for the College of Social Sciences. She previously ran a trade
and marketing consulting business, was president and owner of
a farming corporation, was executive vice president of the Fresno
County and City Chamber of Commerce and was a legislative coordinator
for Fresno County.
She graduated from UC Santa Barbara and did graduate studies in
public administration at Sacramento State. She is married and
has one son.
Katie Zenovich is the Kremen School of Education and Human Development's
new director. Before coming to Fresno State, she was executive
director of Corporate Strategic Initiatives for Saint Agnes Medical
Center for 11 years. In 2000, she was named among the Top 10 Professional
Business Women in Fresno. She is past chair of Leadership Fresno
Steering Committee, a director of Leadership Fresno Alumni Association
and past president of the American Heart Association. She is married
and has two children.
