Russian artist leads off Keyboard Concert season

Sept. 11 – “9-11: A Musical Remembrance” featuring the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Dr. Cory Whitehead, with the premiere of a new composition by Dr. Ben Boone commemorating 9-11, 8 p.m., Concert Hall. Admission: $6 general; $5 faculty/staff/seniors; $4 students.

Sept. 12 – Stanislav Ioudenitch, Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert Series, works by Mozart, Stravinsky, Schubert and Liszt. 8 p.m., Concert Hall. Admission: $12.50 general; $7 seniors; $5 students.

Sept. 13 – Corey Whitehead, guitar, Faculty Guitar Recital, 7 p.m., Concert Hall. Admission: $5 general; $4 seniors; $3 students.

Sept. 26 – Music Faculty in Concert, featuring works and composers celebrating anniversaries in the month of September. Meet the performers at a dessert reception immediately following the concert. Hosted by the Arts and Humanities Advisory Board. Proceeds to benefit student music scholarships. 8 p.m., Concert Hall. Admission: $25 general; $15 seniors; $10 students.

Sept. 28 – Russell and Maxine Howland Memorial Scholarships Award Concert featuring clarinet students in recital, 3 p.m., Wahlberg Recital Hall; Free admission.
