Service Fair Sept. 3

Students for Community Service will present the eleventh Annual "Community Service Opportunities Fair" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3.

This event will provide students, staff and faculty with an opportunity to gain information on dozens of nonprofit organizations and hundreds of community service-learning opportunities.

Over 60 community agencies will have display tables set-up in front of the Kennel Bookstore. Participants will be able to gain information on community agencies and learn how to contribute to those agencies through service. All students, faculty and staff are invited to this important event.

Participation in the fair has been successfully used by numerous faculty as an assignment in many classes. It is a great way to learn about various issues in the community, how those issues are being addressed and how individual volunteers can be involved.

For more information, contact Trisha Studt at 8-7079.
