Cynthia Teniente-Matson named Vice President of Administration


President hasnamed Cynthia Teniente-Matson, who has broad experience in university business, administrative and financial matters, as the new Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer.

Matson, vice chancellor for Administrative Services at the University of Alaska Anchorage, will begin her work at Fresno State in March 2004.

“ I am delighted that Cynthia Matson will be joining our leadership team next spring,” said Welty. “Her experience and accomplishments in human resource management, contracting, auxiliary operations, business technology, fiscal management and facilities planning will benefit our entire campus, including our students, faculty and staff.”

Matson was selected from a field of more than 30 candidates from throughout the country. She succeeds Dr. Benjamin F. Quillian, who left Fresno State earlier this year to become senior vice president for business and operations at the American Council on Education in Washington, D.C.
