'Maderati' opens University Theatre season
" The Maderati” by Richard Greenberg is a comedy that centers on the self-centered concerns of a rather pretentious group of “yuppies.” This play of hilarious misunderstandings is directed by Brad Myers.

Performance dates are Oct. 3-4 and 7-11 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. All performances are in the John Wright Theatre in the Speech Arts Building.

Two Keyboard Concerts in October
The Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts will present two programs in the Concert Hall at Fresno State in October, featuring pianists Sasan Arzuni on Oct. 3 and Paul Badura-Skoda on Oct. 14. more

Student film festival Oct. 28 focuses on women
Lunafest 2003 Fresno, an evening of student films by, for and about women, will be held Oct. 28 at Fresno State. Proceeds benefit The Breast Cancer Fund and the Fresno State Women’ Resource Center. more

Art show in Lyles Gallery
An Alliance of California Artists Fine Art Membership Show featuring Pamela Beecher will be held in the Lyles Gallery of the Speech Arts Building through Oct. 17.

Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admission is free. For information, call 8-2216 or see www.art-alliance.org.
