Work is progressing rapidly on the Science II Building at Fresno State.

The $22 million building is the largest academic building to be constructed on the Fresno State campus in a decade.

The new three-story building will add classrooms and labs to the campus as well as new faculty offices. It will be completed in 2005. It is the largest academic building constructed on campus since the Kremen School of Education was completed in 1994.

Within the last two weeks, concrete work in building “C” of the Science II complex of buildings was poured and reinforcing steel placement started in building “A” of the complex. Footing evacuation began for building "B" and all under slab plumbing and deep electrical systems are in place for the structures. more

Get a sneak peak at Save Mart Center on Oct. 24

You can take a behind-the-scenes tour – including the showers and locker rooms – at the Save Mart Center on Friday, Oct. 24.

A Sneak Peek Tour for the University community will be offered from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Students, staff, faculty, retirees and Alumni Association members are welcome, with admission by campus ID.

A Community Open House for the center will be held on Nov. 1. The first event at the Save Mart Center will be a Bulldog Basketball Extravaganza on Nov. 5.  Events
