University Admissions Day is Oct. 18

University Admissions Day, the university’s major on-campus student recruitment activity, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.The event replaces the annual University Open House.

Bernie Vinovrski, assistant vice president of enrollment services, said he expects about 1,200 people – including 700 students and their parents – to visit the campus. Each academic school/college will offer an opportunity to highlight each of its own programs and services. Faculty from various academic departments will also offer presentations and an opportunity to tour facilities and labs within their perspective areas, he said.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by University Outreach Services and organized by the University Admissions Day Committee.
