Michael Gorman (Dean, Library Services) will speak to L’Alliance Francaise de Fresno on Oct. 21 at the Fresno Art Museum, 2233 N. First St. Gorman, who was born in England, will speak (in English) on “How the British see the French: An Individual View.” more

London Semester
The College of Arts and Humanities is accepting applications for the spring 2004 London Semester. Courses satisfy general education and the upper division writing requirement for graduation and include Art, English, Theatre, Humanities and Political Science. more

Math Colloquia Oct. 7
Francis Edward Su will speak on “Minimal Triangulations of Cubes” at the Department of Mathematics Colloquia Series, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. in Agriculture Mechanics, room 102.

Su earned his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. from Harvard. He is an associate professor of mathematics at Harvey Mudd College and is currently on sabbatical at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (UC Berkeley), where he is doing research on combinatorial fixed-point theorems and connections to economics.
