Choral Classics program Nov. 9

The choirs of the California State University, Fresno Music Department will present a varied program in their fall program, "Choral Classics."   The concert will begin at 3 pm in the Concert Hall in the Music Building on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Included on the concert will be excerpts from Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" for choir, percussion and two pianos.   The Concert Choir will perform the entire work in the spring in conjunction with the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra and two other choirs.

Also included on the concert will be works by Josef Rheinberger, Paul Bassler, David Childs, Hans Leo Hassler, Thomas Morley and Gustav Holst.

The Concert Choir and Chamber Choir are under the direction of Anna Hamre. The Men's and Women's Chorus is under the direction of Mike Ogdon.

Tickets are $8 general admission, $6 faculty and staff amd $5 students and will be available at the door.   Call 8-2539 for more information.
