Student carpool lot

In an effort to "Spare the Air" the Office of Parking & Transportation is announcing the introduction of a student carpool parking lot. more

Campus movers

The Campus Movers’ schedule allows them to work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, this semester. Their primary responsibility is to move equipment from offices and departments to surplus. more

Custodial Cleaning Schedule

Due to reductions in Plant Operations’ budget, a new schedule for custodial services will be put into effect. more

Library program

Dr. Edward EmanuEl, director and Fresno State theatre arts professor, will offer a performance piece at the Nov. 21 meeting of the Friends of the Madden Library program. He will perform readings from the book he is writing entitled, “My Dad, The Best Man I Never Knew.” more

Identification number

The Henry Madden Library now uses the new Fresno State identification number (PeopleSoft number) instead of the Social Security Number to authenticate remote users of its databases by students, faculty, staff and administrators. If you don't know your ID number, you can get it by going to "My Fresno State". Click on Personal Portfolio under the My Menu tab, and then click on the Demographic Summary link.

Blood drive

A blood drive will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6 from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the University Student Union, Main Lobby. The theme for this drive is "You gotta give some to get some." Donors who give some blood will get recognition awards, including a special edition T-shirt and discount coupons. more

CSEA meeting

The November meeting of CSEA Chapter 309 will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 12 in SA 172 (Studio A). Please note the new day and place. Chapter meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. For more information call Vonda Epperson at 8-5417.

Wang nominations

Just a reminder, the deadline to submit nominations for the Wang Family Excellence Award is Thursday, Dec. 18. more

Internship program

Nov. 10 is the deadline for applications for the Bono-Capps Congressional Internship Program in Washington, D.C. more

Fee waiver deadline

Staff and faculty who plan to use their Fee Waiver benefits in the Spring 2004 semester, must submit their Fee Waiver Application to Employment Services by Nov. 21 in order avoid a delay in processing or overpayment of fees. more

Tree sale

A tree sale at the Ornamental Horticulture Greenhouses (northeast corner of Chestnut and Barstow) will be held Nov. 7 and 8. One-, five- and 15-gallon container trees will be sold for one-third to one-half off regular prices. For more information call 8-2952.

Kazan lecture Nov. 19

Dr. Ara Sanjian, the Henry S. Khanzadian Kazan Visiting Professor in Armenian Studies, for the fall semester, will present the final lecture in a series of three on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Alice Peters Auditorium, room 191 of the University Business Center. His topic is "The Armenian Church in Mountainous Karabagh under Soviet Rule." more
