International Coffee Hour programsThe International Coffee Hour is held each Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. at the Education Building Atrium on the bottom floor in rooms 54-58. It is among the several programs sponsored by the International Student Services and Programs office to help international students to integrate into their new environment, and it enables the Fresno State community to have access to a great variety of cultures. November programs include: Nov. 4 – " Morocco: Land of Diversity." Moussa and Abdelhadi El Hassani speak about the culture of Morocco. They will present the different changes that the country is undergoing and the plans for the future. Nov. 11 - "Kuwait." Alia Quali , an undergraduate student from Kuwait will present Kuwait and its culture, economics, politics, and religion. Nov. 18 – "Iran Today after Centuries of History." Farrokh Eizadi Bouroujeni , an undergraduate student in Computer S cience, will share facts about his native country. History, religion, politics, women's rights and everyday life will be discussed. Nov. 25 - " Japan." Yumiko Saita, an international student at the American English Institute, will make a presentation about Japan, its culture, food and traditions. The programs are sponsored by the International Students Services and Programs office, USU Diversity Awareness Program and Division of Students Affairs. |
