A new athletic fund-raising support group has been formed to raise money for Bulldog Athletics. more

Pappas Telecasting signs agreement with Athletics

An agreement has been reached with Pappas Telecasting Companies to keep the television broadcasts of Bulldogs' football and men's basketball on KFRE WB 59 for the next five years, Athletics Director Scott Johnson announced. A principal part of the agreement is the donation to the athletics department of $2 million in television airtime on KFRE WB 59 by Pappas Telecasting. more

New 'Dog in town

A bronze Bulldog sculpture was unveiled in the Save Mart Center at the Bulldog Foundation reception on Oct. 28. The sculpture was created by EMI Inc. in Visalia using the Lost Wax Method of casting. The 6 ½–foot statue weighs 3,200 pounds and sits on a 3 ½–foot–high black granite base. Dean Shipston and Blaine Black are the artists. Large Photo

McCaffrey Group title sponsor of WAC tournament

Athletics Director Scott Johnson announced the McCaffrey Group has reached an agreement with Fresno State and the Western Athletic Conference to be the title sponsor and the tournament will bear the name 2004 McCaffrey WAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament. more
