New scholarship awarded

The M.F.A program in Creative Writing in conjunction with the College of Arts and Humanities has established the Lillian Faderman Scholarship in Creative Nonfiction. John Rabb, the first recipient and was honored along with other scholarship winners at the annual New Students Reading and Award Ceremony last month. more

‘Le Vin Nouveau’

The Le Vin Nouveau celebration was held Nov. 20 at the Fresno State Winery. The event, which follows a French tradition of celebrating the harvest on the third Thursday in November, was co-sponsored by Fresno State Vineyards, the Department of Viticulture and Enology and the Enology Society. more

Arne Nixon Center receives major donation

The Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature has received a major donation from author/librarian Michael Cart. The gift, which is the first part of an ongoing donation, includes 3,439 books and other related materials from the donor's personal collection. more

Ringwald looks deep into space
Physics professor Frederick Ringwald undertook a prestigious project in November using NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and the university’s Campus Observatory to study exotic magnetic stars. more
