Bob
Powell and Scott Moore (Communication) lectured to the University of
California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Campus Faculty on Nov. 6,
on “Health Communication in the Provider-Patient Context.”
Bill Daily (Gerontology) was interviewed by KSEE-24 TV about the
new support group he has developed, Growing GRAND Families. The group
answers questions and helps grandparents with the new role they are
presented as parents of their grandchildren.

Brent
Auernheimer (Computer Science, interim director of Digital Campus)
co-authored a paper “Indicators of Effective Collaboration in
Distributed Virtual Teamwork," which was awarded an E-Learn 2003
Outstanding Paper Award at the E-Learn conference in November. Only
eight of 700 paper submissions will receive the award this year. The
paper was based on two simultaneous on-line graduate computer science
classes, one class at the University of Hawaii and one at Fresno State.
