Singers 'back up' Kenny Rogers

Members of the Chamber Singers and the Concert Choir were "back up" singers for popular Country Western star Kenny Rogers during his concert last month at the Saroyan Theatre in Fresno.

Assistant music professor Dr. Anna Hamre and 28 students took the stage with Rogers for two segments during his program.

Recently the Fresno State Chamber Singers have been invited to perform for the California Music Educators' Conference and the Pacific Chorale Invitational Choral Festival.  The Chamber Singers are planning a spring tour to Mexico City.
