‘Declare Yourself' Campaign

Forgivable Loan Program

Applications are now being accepted for the 2004/2005 Forgivable Loan/Doctoral Incentive Program. The program provides financial assistance to graduate students and is designed to increase the pool of individuals who show promise of becoming strong candidates for CSU instructional faculty positions. It is a competitive program directed by the CSU but open to doctoral students across the country.

The program provides the following:

  • Loans of up to $10,000 per percent of the loan is forgiven for each year of full-time year up to a total of $30,000 within five years.

· Loan forgiveness: 20 postdoctoral teaching at a CSU campus.

· Faculty sponsorship from a CSU faculty member.

Applicants are not required to have attended a CSU campus nor are applicants required to have been accepted in a doctoral program at the time of their application. Employment in the CSU is also not required.
