Pianist Radu Lupu to perform Feb. 9

The Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts will present Radu Lupu playing works by Schumann and Schubert on Monday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall at Fresno State.

The Romanian-born pianist is "a master of the most satisfying kind," according to The New Yorker, and his playing is described as "pianism of the greatest subtlety and finesse" by the Daily Telegraph in London.

He is established as one of the most important musicians of his generation and regularly performs as soloist with the world's most prestigious orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic.

Ticket prices are $12.50 general, $7 seniors and $5 students. For ticket reservations and other information call 8-2337.
