CSET workshop

CSET workshop

Students preparing to take the new California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) have the opportunity to enroll in a test preparation workshop offered through the Kremen School of Education.

The workshop is designed for students planning to take the CSET on March 20. It is scheduled for three consecutive Saturdays, Feb. 21, 28 and March 13.

Reservations can be made by filling out the form on http://www.csufresno.edu/ExtendedEd/CSET.html Payment must be received by Saturday, Feb. 14. The workshop is a non-credit course and the fee is $300.

The three day accelerated workshop covers all three subtest areas with subject matter ranging from reading, language, literature, history/social studies, mathematics, science, physical education, human development, and visual and performing arts.

Students who are preparing to teach in a multiple subject setting are required to take either the CSET or complete a CCTC approved Elementary Subject Matter (ESM) program.

The CSET is a new testing program being developed as the examination option for the subject matte competence requirement. The testing program will over the next four years, take the place of the current Single Subject Assessments for Teaching and Praxis II subject matter examinations.
