Engineers Week

National Engineers Week will be observed by the College of Engineering and Computer Science Engineering Students Joint Council with "Engineers at the Mall" on Feb. 21-22 at Fashion Fair Mall.  This annual event highlights student projects and club activities designed to attract students to engineering and computer since, as well as educate the public about the engineering profession.

National Engineers Week 2004 will be celebrated February 22-28. Traditionally, National Engineers week is held during the week of George Washington's birthday - an engineer!  The 2004 program is chaired, national, by IEEE/IEEE-USA and Fluor Corporation and sponsored locally by the College of Engineering and Computer Science.  Additional information on the national scope can be found at www.eweek.org .

Another part of the observance is the College's Annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet on Feb. 26.  The day starts with the Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union and concludes with the banquet at 6 p.m. in the Residence Dining Hall. Register online or call Dana Lucka at 8-5590.
