Lyles Gallery display"30 Small Paintings and More" by Marge Erbes will be displayed in the Lyles Gallery of the Speech Arts Building from March 7 to April 16. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. , Monday through Friday. An artist's reception will be held March 7 from 2-5 p.m. Erbe has had more than 30 single-person shows, including the Fresno Art Museum, Fresno City Hall, Airport, Concert Hall, Mondavi Gallery in Napa and many private galleries in San Francisco, Mill Valley, Palm Springs and Fresno. She has been in group shows at the LA County Museum, San Fransico Art Annuals, San Joaquin Valley Art Annuals and regional invitationals. She has won numerous top awards in Valley competitions. She also participated in the California State Arts Commissions Cultural Exchange with Linz, Austria in 1972-73; the Fresno Art Museum Exhibition in Ren Gallery, Taipei, Taiwan in 1973-74; and in Graf (West German School) in 1978. Erbe has more than 700 paintings in private collections and public buildings, hospitals, schools, courthouse, hotels, banks and corporate collections throughout California. A graduate of UC Berkeley, she did graduate study at Fresno State and art study in Europe. |
