"It's a Pirates Life for Me!" is the theme of the University picnic on Thursday, May 27. The picnic will feature barbecue tri-tip, chicken and more. Contests include: Office Pirate Hat contest, Pirate's Cove smoothie contest, Peg Leg Race, jug toss, volleyball and horseshoes. more

Self-service support Through the call center, walk-in services, training lab, and on-site visits, the ITS campus Help Desk and AIC's Technology Training group is available to assist the campus community with its IT support needs. more

Summer hours
President Welty has approved a summer work schedule to be effective Monday, May 24, through Friday, August 13, 2004 . The university's workday will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the lunch period from noon to 12:30 p.m. more

The first "IS Day at the Craig" will be held at the University Business Center in the

Robert Gustafson dies
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is sad to announce that Robert Henry "Gus" Gustafson passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, April 12, in Flagstaff, AZ. At the time, he and his wife Jackie were taking what he referred to as his "farewell to the Grand Canyon tour." He was 77 years old. more

Graduate Fellowship
Contingent upon the availability of funds, the California Graduate Equity Fellowships with grants up to $4,500 are available for underrepresented graduate students who qualify. Fee waiver deadlines
Staff and faculty who plan to use their Fee Waiver benefits for the Fall 2004 semester must submit their Fee Waiver Application to Employment Services by May 17, 2004, in order avoid a delay in processing or overpayment of fees. All registration fees must be paid to the Cashier's Office in Joyal Administrative Building by July 30, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. Contact the Fee Waiver Help line at 8-7269 for more information. more

Applications are now being accepted for a summer cohort for the Fresno State Multimedia Program, an offering of CETL, AIC and the Digital Campus. The deadline is May 2. Apply online. College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is hosting two events to which the campus community is invited.
