Music in SeptemberThe following musical events are planning during September: Sept. 10 – Ed and David Hull, tuba and piano recital with special guests Michael Caldwell (trumpet) and John Shafer (piano), Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Admission free. Sept. 24 – Sergei Babayan, Phillip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert Series, Concert Hall, 8 p.m. Admission: $12.50 general; $7 seniors; $5 students. Sept. 26 – Music Alumni Concert to benefit the Music Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund, Concert Hall, 3 p.m. Admission: $20 general; $10 students/seniors. Sept. 28 – Russell Howland Memorial Concert, Recital featuring clarinet soloists and clarinet ensembles, College Church, 6:30 p.m. Admission free. Sept. 27 – Baroque Natural Horn Concert, solo works for natural horn and chamber ensemble by Handel, Telemann and “Mr. Charles” (modern premiere). Featuring Thomas Hiebert and Jennie Blomster, natural horns, Jose Diaz, oboe, Lenore Voth Hiebert, harpsichord, 7:30 p.m., Concert Hall. Admission free. |
