Rockets launch at O’Neill Park
Sixty students in grades kindergarten through sixth watched their hand-built rockets soar into the sky over O’Neill Park as the culmination of their weeklong “Space and Rocketry” day camp, part of the Science Adventures program sponsored by the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
Three other week-long Science Adventure camps were held during the summer, including “The Great Dinosaur Mystery,” “ Robo-Tech Extreme K- nex Robot” and “ Newton’s Motion Madness.”
The Science Adventures program is designed to improve science literacy through educational and exciting hands-on activities and projects.
