Music in October

The following musical events are planned in October:

Oct. 8 - m-pact,all male a capella jazz/pop ensemble, Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Admission: $10 general; $5 students.

Oct. 11 - Composer's Jazz Orchestra, with Fresno State's Jazz Band "A." Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m.   Admission: $6 general; $4 faculty/staff/seniors; $3 students.

Oct. 20 - Fresno State String Orchestra, Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Admission: $8 general; $5 faculty/staff/seniors; $3 students.

Oct. 21 - Fresno State Jazz Bands "A" & "B" featuring many soloists. Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Admission: $6 general; $4 faculty/staff/seniors; $3 students.

Oct. 24 - Music Faculty in Concert: A Tribute to Dr. Luis Costa, Fresno State Music Department's faculty performs in a special concert benefiting student scholarships, featuring works by various composers.  Meet the performers at a dessert reception immediately following the concert. Concert Hall, 3 p.m. Admission: $25 general; $15 seniors; $10 students.

Oct. 26 - Wind Ensemble: A Music Department Homecoming, featuring Alan Durst performing Ben Boone's "Saxophone Concerto."  Presented by the Department of Music and the Music Alumni Chapter. Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Admission: $6 general; $5 faculty/staff/seniors; $4 students.
