AS funds community service grants

Associated Students has kicked off a new funding program called the "Community Service Activism Grant."

In partnership with the Students for Community Service Office, Associated Students has set aside funding to help promote student clubs and organizations involvement in community service and civic engagement.

Recognized student clubs and organizations can apply for funds to support on and off-campus service dealing with specific community issue, civic engagement projects or nonprofit agencies. In addition to supporting immediate service, the Community Service Activism Grant is designed to stimulate future civic commitment from our students, create in-depth and long-term service goals for clubs and organizations, as well as motivate others to get involved with community engagement activities.
