Alumni Homecoming activitiesThe Fresno State Alumni Association has planned a full lineup of activities for Homecoming week. On Wednesday, Oct. 27, there will be a Bulldog Walkway dedication ceremony at noon at the Save Mart Center. Bulldog Walkway is a new, permanent, on-campus tribute to Fresno State alumni, graduates and friends. To include academics and athletes, Bulldog Walkway remembers the past and honors the present, three inaugural tiles honor the memory of these patriotic Bulldogs: Todd Beamer - Fresno State alumnus, who stated "Let’s Roll!" aboard Flight 93 on September 11, 2001; Lt. Cmdr. Otis Vincent Tolbert [1985] - who was stationed at The Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001; and Col. Rick Husband [1990] - who was commander of NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia, which disintegrated with her crew upon re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere on Feb. 1, 2002. Additional personalized, commemorative tiles are available for purchase at $250, $500 and $1,000 levels. Future plans include extending Bulldog Walkway to the Smittcamp Alumni House and throughout the campus.
