(Music) have been chosen as ASCAP Award recipients by the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers. Awards are granted by an independent panel and based upon the prestige value of each writer’s catalog of original compositions, as well as recent performances in areas not surveyed by the society.

Jim Michael (Information Technology Services) has been elected secretary of SHARE, the nation’s odest computer users group, at the organization’s conference in New York in August.  SHARE is an independent users group for users of IBM technology in enterprise scale environments and will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.  SHARE's mission is to improve the effectiveness of   members' information systems by providing education, promoting mutual support, and by influencing Information Technology strategies, products, and services. Michael has served on the board of directors of directors for three years.
