Celebrating 15 years of women's sports

The Western Athletic Conference is celebrating 15 years of women's sports during the 2004-05 season.   With women joining the WAC in 1990, the High Country Athletic Conference merged with the WAC and the women's sports was had under the current league.    While 55 NCAA team titles have been won under the WAC umbrella since 1962, the women have sported four team national titles:   Cross Country (1997, BYU), Golf (1992, San Jose State), Gymnastics (1992, Utah) and Softball (1998, Fresno State).
