Keyboard Concerts in November
The
Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts will present two programs during
November.
On Nov. 3, Andreas Haefliger will play works by Ludwig
van Beethoven at 8 p.m. in the Music Building Concert Hall.
A musical thinker whose interpretations spring from a rich cultural
heritage, Haefliger has established himself as one of the leading pianists
of his generation. He has received the highest praise throughout the
world for performances that possess a rare combination of power and
poetry. "He is a pianist of elegance, refinement and taste" (The Boston
Globe).

On
Nov. 19, Guy Livingston will perform "Antheil and
the Jazz Age" at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall.
Livingston is widely recognized as one of today's leading interpreters
of contemporary music. Praised by the press as "dazzling" and "fascinating
in every way," the American artist has been featured in Le Monde, Sports
Illustrated, The New York Times, and on NPR's Weekend Edition.
