Construction booming on campus

The sounds of construction are ringing throughout the campus as seven major projects are in progress or about to begin, with an estimated total value of more than $150 million.

The projects will provide new and bigger classrooms and laboratories for students, a modern library, athletic team and recreational facilities and high-speed communications technology. more

WASC panel completes campus review

At the close of a three day site visit on Friday, Oct. 22, Dr. Anthony Ceddia, chair of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Review Panel evaluating California State University, Fresno’s educational effectiveness, reported to the campus community. He congratulated the university for being an exemplar institution that is well positioned for academic excellence and regional service. more

President Welty forms new marketing council

President Welty has formed an Integrated Marketing Council to develop, enhance and maintain a strong and consistent institutional image, across all of the interests of the campus – academics, athletics, development, and institutes and centers. more

Tony Coelho to speak Nov. 8 in new Womack Lecture Series

Tony Coelho, who represented the Central Valley in the U.S. Congress for ten years, will deliver the inaugural address of the Madden Library’s endowed Womack Lecture Series on Monday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the Alice Peters Auditorium. more
