Hispanic magazine lauds arts programs

Fresno State’s fine arts and arts studies programs for Hispanics are among the best in the country, according to rankings issued by Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine.

Fresno State ranked 23 on the list of the top colleges. The statistics were collected from the National Center for Educational Statistics most recent report, in 2002.

California colleges dominated the list with 11 schools ranked on the list of 25 colleges from across the nation. The No. 1 college on the list was California State University, Los Angeles.

The article appeared in the Aug. 9 edition of the nationally recognized Hispanic Outlook magazine, which publishes 26 editions a year.
