Thanksgiving recess

Wednesday, Nov. 24, through Friday, Nov. 26, are listed in the Academic Calendar of the 2004-2005 General Catalog as Thanksgiving Recess. As it has been for the past several years, the fall academic schedule includes the day before Thanksgiving as a non-instructional day.  

As in years past, most offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 28, and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this recess by using vacation, CTO or personal holiday credit on that day. However, Wednesday, Nov. 24, is a regularly scheduled university workday and all offices are expected to remain open.

To the extent possible, while still providing minimal office coverage, managers are encouraged to accommodate the requests from staff who would like to use additional leave credit to take Nov. 24 off as well.

 During the Thanksgiving recess, the Library’s hours will be as follows:  Tuesday, Nov. 23, 7:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 24, 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and closed Nov. 25-27. The Library will return to regularly scheduled hours effective Sunday, Nov. 28.
