‘Quietly’ charting campaign's course
"Quiet" preparations continue for a major comprehensive fund-raising campaign at Fresno State. The campaign has not been officially launched, says director Mary Anna Dunn, but there’s been plenty of work behind the scenes for what will be the largest fund drive in the university’s history. After a yearlong process involving many faculty and administrators to set the direction for the campaign, six major areas of emphasis have been identified. Those themes are Transforming the University, Celebrating the Arts and Cultures of New California, Making the Region Work, Creating a Healthier Valley, Advancing World Class Agriculture, and Educating our Children. Dunn said those themes will be refined as projects in each are evaluated for feasibility. In the meantime, the university is actively seeking volunteers to assist with the effort. “Volunteers extend our reach,” she said. “With a campaign of this magnitude, the staff and university leaders will need help from many alumni and friends of Fresno State.” If you would like more information or want to get involved in the campaign, e-mail campaign@csufresno.edu. |
