Graduation rates improve dramatically

Continuing to make great strides in improving its academic success, the Fresno State’s athletic department has shown an 11 percent increase in the overall department’s graduation rate, as released by the NCAA.

Other recent academic achievements in athletics include: a 2.91 cumulative GPA, the highest in eight years; 54 percent of Bulldog student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA or better for the spring and fall of 2003; Fresno State’s 63 Academic All-WAC selections for 2003-04 ranked third-best among the WAC; and more than 20 Bulldog freshmen earned WAC All-Academic accolades, second-most among the league schools.
