Fresno State is teaming up with Enterprise Rideshare for a free, innovative new program that is an alternative to driving alone to work -- commuter vanpooling. All staff and faculty who are frequent long-distance commuters (greater than 10 miles one-way) are asked to consider forming a vanpool to get to and from work. more Fresno State staff, student and alumni were among presenters at the Education Coordinating Council's “Agriculture Literacy in the 21st Century,” conference in Washington , D.C. , to help ensure that no child is left behind when it comes to agriculture education. more Interior window treatment will cause office disruptions during January and February. U.S. Tint, sub-contractor for an energy conservation project, will be working in several buildings on campus. They will apply a film to the interior windows that will reduce cooling expense. more |

Internationally recognized dance instructor and Fresno State alumTom Bozigian will teach a course on Armenian dance, sponsored by the Armenian Studies Program, on Friday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, Feb. 5. more Ia Xiong, local educator and author of a children's book, “The Gift: The Hmong New Year,” will talk about the continuing immigration saga of the Valley's Hmong at the Friends of the Madden Library program on Jan. 21. more Los Danzantes de Aztlan -- the pioneering Fresno State Mexican folkloric dance troupe -- won second place in the First Annual Binational Mexican Folkloric Dance Competition in Rosarito, B.C., Mexico , in November. more The Fresno State Winery was featured in the Dec. 5 San Francisco Chronicle Magazine article entitled “Wine School Wars.” more Fresno State is a member of the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) which offers study abroad programs to our students. Through this affiliation, a one-month summer study opportunity for professional development is open to our professional staff and faculty. more |
Nine modular units to replace the Lab School buildings destroyed by fire were placed at the site on Jan. 6.
