Free vanpooling

Fresno State is teaming up with Enterprise Rideshare for a free, innovative new program that is an alternative to driving alone to work -- commuter vanpooling. All staff and faculty who are frequent long-distance commuters (greater than 10 miles one-way) are asked to consider forming a vanpool to get to and from work.

Vanpools save money on gas, vehicle maintenance, parking, depreciation and insurance costs.  By choosing to rideshare, you will reduce air pollution and its associated risks, and decrease the number of cars on our highways and city streets.

If you are interested in joining a vanpool, log on to http://www.rides.csufresno.edu and register as a "new user."  By registering with Fresno State 's Rideshare Program you will confidentially be matched with fellow co-workers that have the same commute and similar work hours as yourself.  Once we receive enough requests to fill a vanpool we will organize a " Fresno State 's Meet your Match" get-together.

For more information, contact Annette Harvey, employee transportation coordinator in the Office of Parking and Transportation Commuter Services at 8-2277 or annetteh@csufresno.edu .
