Life Work LinksLife Work Links presents “Fresno State Falcons Hockey Night” Friday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Save Mart Center. All attendees are eligible to win prizes. Life Work Links is offering the first- ever ” Get Fit” Personal Health Series, a six-week program in February and March. All participants who complete the program will receive a free “I survived the Life Work Links “Get Fit” personal health series @ Fresno State” t-shirt. Other incentives will be offered, too. Week one: Base-line screenings by the nurse’s department: Blood pressure, weight, height, body mass index. Week two: Nutrition class along with meal planning by on-campus nutritionist. Week three: Bally’s Total Fitness: toning exercises. Weeks four – six: 20 minutes light toning exercises, 20 minutes campus walk paths. All session will be from noon to 1 p.m. The sessions in weeks one, two and three will be on Wednesdays only, Feb. 9, 16 and 23. The sessions in weeks four, five and six will be Tuesday-Thursday, March 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17. To register for Get Fit, call the 24-hour registration line, 8-6361, or register for Get Fit online. Life Work Links also will sponsor its ninth on-campus session of Weight Watchers @ Work. Cost for the 12-week session is $131.40. Meetings are held Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. in the Plant Operations conference room. There are several ways to pay for the 12-week membership fees.
