Community research grants

In their final report on our accreditation, WASC has encouraged the university to "continually reinforce its commitment to improving the human condition in the Valley." Funding from the Chancellor's Office and Fresno's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will provide four, $2,000 mini-grants to faculty members who are involved in research that is intended to address pressing community needs through research and action.

Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) directly involves communities affected by the research, representatives of community based organizations and researchers in all aspects of the research. The deadline for funding requests is March 18.

For a full copy of the request for proposals, visit www.csufresno.edu/cetl/Funding/Funding.html. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Fiorentino at chrisf@csufresno.edu or 8-7079.
