InForum series March 23

Donna Zajonc, political leadership coach and author of “The Politics of Hope,” will be the second speaker in the New Valley InForum series, sponsored by the Lyles Center for Entrepreneurship, on Wednesday, March 23.

Zajonc’s topic is “From Red and Blue to Purple.” Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the speech at 6 p.m. at the Fresno Memorial Auditorium, 2425 Fresno St. Book signing and a VIP reception will follow the discussion.

Zajonc takes a look at the larger picture of politics, government and community outcomes. She served three terms in the Oregon Legislature and was named Assistant Minority Leader. She was her party's nominee for Secretary of State in 1984.

Zajonc managed a high-profile governor's race and several other political campaigns and her success as a business owner led to her election as president of the National Franchise Advisory Board.

In 2004, Zajonc worked with the “Partners in Participation: Women’s Campaign Initiative” in Tunisia. The program was designed to support economic, political and educational development efforts and assist emerging women leaders in the Middle East and North Africa.

Zajonc has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Oregon.

The New Valley InForum series is in its second year. Speakers discuss transformations occurring around the nation and in the community and give ideas on how to prepare for success in a climate of change.

Tickets are $15 general, $10 students and $10 VIP reception. For tickets call (559) 294-2045. For more information, see http://www.lylescenter.com/inforum.htm.
