John Dussich

(Criminology), pictured with his hosts in Jakarta, Indonesia, spent a week in the tsunami-ravaged country in late January. He conducted training sessions with the Red Crescent of Indonesia (similar to the Red Cross), a children’s foundation and other non-governmental groups working with survivors. He was interviewed on Indonesian television about his work and met with the nation’s minister of Social Affairs to discuss the need for a national disaster organization and victimology coursework at the university level.
