There will be a new college sports initiative that will debut on March 4, 2005:  ESPNU. This multimedia college sports initiative will include a new 24-hour television network. Its sports specific schedule will be announced at a later date.

Event programming will be the cornerstone and highlighting ESPNU will be approximately 300 live events in the first year alone. Debuting with March Madness, action will include a variety of top Division I sports in football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, hockey, wrestling and much more.  ESPNU also will offer replays of ABC Sports, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN regional television games.
